Bowen Health Connections is an event for all ages. It will provide participants with up-to-date information on different health services, practices and needs in the Bowen Community. This interactive event will have service information stalls, where you can connect one on one with health providers and services. With craft and activity sessions for kids and families and a food van on site.
We will also have a program of six Guest Speakers from 10:15am talking about a range of health topics covering the following streams:
Raising Resilient Kids: Health, Happiness, and Connection: This stream will include healthy lunchbox talk and demonstration, Mums and Bubs Yoga, and strategies for coping and navigating care for grandchildren
Stronger Minds, Healthier Bodies: This stream will cover topics that are targeted at young adults and the general public featuring suicide myth busters, substance misuse and how to support loved ones and disease prevention.
From Aging to End-of life: support for a meaningful journey. This stream will be available both online and face to face- explore the legal and emotional journey of terminal illness hypnosis and pain management, and Gather my Crew- coordinating informal circles of support-Register via the link on main event page on Humanitix .
